Speech Analysis provides the user with access to a powerful array of analysis and display programs for use with any speech or voice sample. A click of the mouse allows the user to record, store, edit, playback, analyze and display the speech waveform, fundamental frequency contour (pitch pattern), intensity contour, spectrogram, or spectrum. Quantitative measures and statistical summaries of each of the displayed parameters can be obtained. Additionally, the user can track formant changes. The user can also cut, magnify, playback, analyze and display characteristics of the edited sample. By using the copy command in Windows edit any figure, graph, or statistical table from the Speech Analysis program can be inserted into a word processing file. This feature facilitates the preparation of clinical reports because the graphic and quantitative documentation can be inserted directly into reports. This feature also provides accurate documentation for the clinic's file, for insurance claims, etc.
